Meet The Characters

The main character of the show is Blue, a little blue puppy who invented the game of "Blue's Clues", where she leaves three clues (her pawprints) on certain items or maybe even one of her friends to let one of her three owners know what she wants to do or tell them. Contrary to popular belief, Blue isn't your average dog - she was born under a blue moon with a litter of other puppies and the only one that was blue, and she likes music, drawing, can sometimes walk on twos, and can even eat ice cream and chocolate! Blue came from Steve's childhood book, "About a Puppy", and skidooed out of it when he wanted a friend. Blue can normally bark, but she has a playroom where she can talk!

If you're hungry, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper are the ones to go to! They live in the kitchen of Blue's house, where they prepare healthy meals, bake birthday cakes, and maybe even go shopping! The two serve as paternal figures to the younger ones of the house, but gave birth to Paprika later down the line, Cinnamon was born a few years later, and in 2019, they had twins Sage and Ginger.

Shovel and Pail are a sister and brother duo who live in the backyard of Blue's house and love to play games there that encourage viewer participation.

Mailbox lives in the front yard of Blue's house, but has an extendo arm that allows him to reach the window and give the host his letter or email from a friend. He is also good friends with Mr. Salt.

Tickety Tock lives in the bedroom of Blue's house and loves to tell the time and wake others up with her alarm clock ring. She is also good friends with Sidetable Drawer.

Slippery Soap is an anthropomorphic bar of soap that lives in the bathroom of Blue's house and loves the things Blue and her owners do there, like bath time and brushing teeth, and always does those with them.

Sidetable Drawer lives in the living by the thinking chair, and when you need your notebook, chances are, it's always inside her. She may be shy, but has an excellent singing voice.

Steve was Blue's original owner, her having come from "About a Puppy", a book Mailbox got him as a kid. After he went to college, his brother, Joe moved in with Blue and her friends, and he eventually started the Blue Prints Detective Agency.

Joe is Steve's younger brother, having moved in when the latter went to college. Unlike his brother, Joe wears different colored shirts, and is also known for his stuffed duck, Boris. After Josh moved in, Joe inherited the present store in New York City.
